Election Day - November 8, 2022
Judge Keith McGrath was appointed by Governor DeWine to sit as a judge on the Tenth District Court of Appeals. Keith took the bench in April 2022 and is already hearing oral arguments and deciding cases.
Keith's reaction was “It is a humbling honor to receive such recognition and is an exciting opportunity to continue to serve the people of our community.”
Keith has been an attorney for over 29 years; 25 of those years have been working with law enforcement and victims of crime as a prosecutor in Franklin County, Ohio. In that capacity, Keith has always sought justice.
Keith has extensive litigation experience. He began the first 5 years of his career serving the community as a Columbus City attorney. For the past 20 years, he has served the community as a prosecutor with the Franklin County Prosecutor’s office, having worked under the leadership of both Ron O’Brien and G. Gary Tyack. Prior to his appointment by Governor DeWine in April 2022 to the Tenth District Court of Appeals, Keith handled the most serious of crimes in his position as a Senior Assistant Prosecutor. He has litigated a wide range of misdemeanors and felonies, including aggravated murder, rape, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, vehicular homicides and assaults, domestic violence, and offenses involving guns and drugs. Keith has handled thousands of cases and conducted scores of jury trials throughout his career.
Keith is committed to ensuring that the law is applied properly and equally to all members of our community.
